MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md. — Police are investigating after one person was killed and another was wounded in a shooting in Montgomery Village on Friday afternoon.
Around 12:30 p.m., the Montgomery County Police Department got a call about a shooting in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle – not far from Montgomery Village Plaza.
While there, they got another call about a shooting one block away in the 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle. There, they found an 18-year-old who had been shot. He's been transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
A few moments later, officers responded back to where the original call came in from and found a shooting victim unconscious. He was pronounced dead on scene.
He was identified Saturday as Alan Garnica, 22, of Gaithersburg.
No suspect information has been released and no other details have been made available.
