SILVER SPRING, Md. — Montgomery County Police are searching for the person that shot two men inside of a restaurant in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Officers were called for reports of shots fired at the America’s Best Wings along New Hampshire Avenue just before 6 p.m. on Saturday. When they arrived they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
Medical attention was provided by first responders immediately upon their arrival. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Witnesses say, there was an altercation between the shooter and the victims before shots were fired. Law enforcement is working with witnesses to determine if the altercation was just verbal or if there was also a fight that broke out amongst the three men.
According to authorities, surveillance footage from inside of the restaurant is now under review as they work to identify the shooter. Videos from the surrounding shops and stores are being reviewed as well. The restaurant is nestled inside of the White Oak Shopping near Sears.
At this time Montgomery County Police have only said that the suspect is an adult man. Information on the victims will be released at a later time.
