WASHINGTON — The Metropolitan Police Department has released new surveillance video of a person wanted for a carjacking turned shooting in Northeast in hopes of getting the public's help identifying them.
On Friday, Nov. 3, at 10:32 p.m., police say the victim was delivering food in the area of 14th Street, Northeast, when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect pulled out a gun and demanded the food delivery driver's keys. The victim complied. When the victim told the carjacker he was going to call the police, the carjacker shot the victim.
Investigators say the victim was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
On Monday, police released the following surveillance video of the suspect involved in this carjacking below:
Anyone who can identify this suspect or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call the police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
