D.C., DC — Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed on Benning Road in Northeast D.C. Saturday afternoon.
At 4:08 p.m., D.C. Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1700 block of Benning Road, Northeast, according to a watch commander.
Officers found a man who was unconscious and not breathing, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The victim has since been identified as 38-year-old Michael Hansley.
This case is considered a homicide. No arrests have been made, and no suspects have been identified.
