Police looking for driver who ran from site of deadly crash on I-95

The crash happened just after 4 p.m. Saturday on I-95 at the 140 mile marker.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Police are looking for a man who they said ran from a deadly crash on I-95 in Stafford County on Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened just after 4 p.m. on I-95 at the 140 mile marker.

Virginia State Police says a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling north on I-95 in the right lane when it ran off the left side of the roadway, collided with an embankment, and overturned.

A man who was a passenger was ejected from the vehicle and killed. The police department said the driver of the Nissan ran from the scene before law enforcement arrived. 

The man was last seen wearing a green sweatshirt and dark-colored pants. 

No other information has been released.
