NEW WINDSOR, Md. — Four people are dead, including a 17-year-old, after a multi-vehicle crash in New Windsor Saturday evening.

According to the Maryland State Police, the fatal crash happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. in the area of Liberty Road at Skidmore Road and involved three cars.

Investigators say a Chevy Equinox was traveling west on Liberty Road and stopped to make a left turn onto Skidmore Road when a Saturn crashed into the rear of the Chevy. The impact of that crash forced the Chevy into the eastbound lanes where it was hit by a Ford F-350.

Charles Black III, 72, was driving the Chevy and died at the scene alongside two passengers, 69-year-old Barbara Black and 63-year-old Debbie Hill.

Two teenagers were also in the car at the time of the crash. Both were flown to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for help. One of the teens, identified as 17-year-old Gage Black, died at the hospital. There is no word on the condition of the second teenager.

The driver of the Ford that hit the Chevy was taken to an area hospital for help with his injuries. His condition has not been released.

Police do not believe impaired driving was a factor in the deadly crash. All lanes of westbound Liberty Road were closed for the investigation.
