ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A 7-year-old boy was critically injured after being hit by an SUV at an Alexandria apartment complex on Saturday.
Just after 1 p.m., the Alexandria Police Department responded to the 400 block of North Armistead Street for a child being hit by a vehicle.
According to police, a blue SUV struck the boy while driving through the apartment complex parking lot.
The boy was taken to an area hospital with critical and life-threatening injuries, the police department said.
The driver of the SUV stayed on the scene.
No other details have been released.
