WASHINGTON — A 20-year-old man has turned himself over to police for his alleged involvement in a shooting in Northwest D.C. on Monday that left two people wounded.
At 12:30 p.m., police say the suspect shot two people in the 3100 block of 14th Street, a man and woman, and then fled the scene. Both victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries after the shooting. The man and woman are both expected to survive.
Just two days later, on Wednesday, 20-year-old Travone Henderson of Southeast, D.C. turned himself in to police for his alleged involvement in the shooting. He was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
Police have not said anything about any possible motive or what may have happened in the moments leading up to the shooting.
The investigation into the shooting is active and ongoing.
