WASHINGTON — One man is dead and another was wounded after a shooting along F Street in Northeast, D.C. Sunday night.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened shortly at 10 p.m. in the 1500 block of F St. When officers arrived, they found two men inside a home who had been shot.
One man was pronounced dead inside the home while the other was taken to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The man who was killed has since been identified as 31-year-old Leon Carter, of Northeast, D.C.
There is no word on any possible motive or what may have happened in the moments leading up to the deadly shooting.
No suspect description has been released at this time.
