WASHINGTON — Three people are on their way to area hospitals and an investigation is underway after a shooting in Northeast, D.C. Monday evening.
At 6:12 p.m., a call regarding a shooting in the 600 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northeast came into the Metropolitan Police Department.
Detectives say there are three victims as a result of the shooting including two men and a woman. All three victims are being rushed to area hospitals for treatment. Their current conditions remain unknown, but all were found conscious and breathing when taken to the hospital.
Police have not said what led up to the moments before the shooting. No suspects or persons of interest have been named in the investigation.
