Argument with daycare employee ends with one person pulling out a gun

When the argument got heated, someone took out a gun but there is no evidence the gun was ever fired.

CAMP SPRINGS, Md. — The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a dispute involving at least one daycare employee that led to someone pulling out a gun. 

On Friday, officers received a call at 3:40 p.m. for a dispute outside of the Easterseals Head Start Daycare located on Allentown Road. Witnesses that someone involved in the dispute took out a gun during the argument. 

No one was injured during this time. Police say ‘there is no evidence found that a shot was fired’. 

A representative from Easterseals gave WUSA a statement on today’s incident:

“Easterseals is fully cooperating with police following today’s incident. Our constant priority is the safety of children, staff, and the community.  To our knowledge, no weapon was discharged and no one was injured during the incident, which occurred outside the facility. We are also conducting our own investigation and will take appropriate actions.” 

There is no word on what caused the argument to start at this time. Police have not mentioned any charges being filed against the person in possession of the gun.
