WASHINGTON — The holiday season is officially here, and Metro has released their modified schedule for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day to prepare commuters.
On New Year's Eve, a night where people are out ringing in the new year, Metrorail will stay open until 2 a.m., giving people an extra two hours to get home safely. In addition, Metro is reminding customers that they can also take advantage of Metro's 24-hour bus service in D.C. to get home
Here's the hours for the rail service for the holidays:
Throughout the holidays, the Red Line construction will be underway. There will be express and local shuttle buses to replace the trains impacted.
