WASHINGTON — Metro announced they will be extending construction along the Red Line from Friday, December 22 through Sunday, December 24.
Beginning Friday, construction will expand Gallery Place and Judiciary Square, interrupting services. There will be no Red Line services to those stations in addition to Farragut North and Metro Center, where Red Line services have already been canceled.
During this time, there will be free shuttle buses that will run frequently between the affected stations. Except for Farragut North and Judiciary Square stations, those will remain closed.
Riders will still be able to access Metro Center via the Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines and Gallery Place via the Yellow and Green Lines.
Red Line services will run normally at Union Station to and from Glenmont and between Shady Grove and Dupont Circle.
