PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — A police pursuit that started in Maryland and crossed into Virginia ended in D.C. with four people in custody Tuesday evening.
According to Prince George's County Police, officers spotted a carjacked vehicle in the Oxon Hill area just before 7:30 p.m. When police tried to pull the white Nissan Altima over, the driver refused to stop.
Police pursued the stolen car as the driver entered into Virginia, and eventually into the District. Specifics about the pursuit itself were not made public by the police department. However, a department spokesperson said it ended when the vehicle came to a stop in D.C.
Surveillance video shared with WUSA9 by X user @Abeale202 shows the chase passing through Congress Heights shortly before it all ended.
Four people were apprehended following the pursuit. Police have not identified those people, or said what charges they may be facing.
