FALLS CHURCH, Va. — A teenager is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Falls Church Thursday night.
According to the Falls Church Police Department, the teen was struck while walking near Route 50 and Annandale Road in West Falls Church.
Not many details are known at this time but police were able to confirm that the teen was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver stopped following the crash and stayed on the scene until police arrived.
Eastbound Route 50 was closed while police investigated and officers asked drivers to avoid the area.
Police have not said if any charges could be filed in this case.
