Man shot to death in Prince George's County

The man killed has not yet been identified by police.

OXON HILL, Md. — Police are investigating after a man was shot to death in Oxon Hill Friday evening.

According to the Prince George's County Police Department, officers were called to the 600 block of Audrey Lane around 5:15 p.m. for reports of a shooting in the area.

When officers arrived, they found a man outside who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police later identified the man killed as a 45-year-old man from Temple Hills named Darnell Stanley. 

There is no word on any suspect description at this time. Police have not released any information regarding a possible motive or what may have happened in the moments leading up to the shooting.
