HYATTSVILLE, Md. — A day after a Landover Hills shooting on Thanksgiving, police have confirmed the victim has died.
According to a spokesperson with the Prince George's County Police Department, officers were called to the 7100 block of Webster Street around 7:15 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a person who had been shot. That victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.
Police have identified the victim as 45-year-old Frederico Cruz Ojeda of Landover Hills.
There is no word on any suspect information at this time. Investigators are working to identify a possible motive for the shooting or what may have happened in the moments leading up to it.
Police are now offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
