MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Editor’s Note: This story has been edited to remove a previous error regarding the manner of death in this homicide.
Montgomery County Police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide
Ronald Thomas Dwyer II, 44, was charged with the death of 60-year-old Charles Claggett.
On Nov. 28, officers from the Gaithersburg Police Department responded to the 200 block of Old MacDonald Road just after 8 a.m. for the report of a man, located outside of an apartment building, who was not conscious or breathing.
The Montgomery County Fire Rescue team attempted to perform life-saving measures. Unfortunately, Claggett was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives identified Dwyer as the suspect in the death investigation. Dwyer was arrested on an open warrant for an unrelated incident on Wednesday.
He is currently facing charges for first-degree murder and robbery. Dwyer is being held without bond.
