Dog hurt after shots fired in North Bethesda

The dog was taken to a vet, where it is recovering.

BETHESDA, Md. — An argument between a group of people turned violent Friday, and a dog was shot in the leg. Police are still investigating exactly what happened. So far, no arrests have been made.

According to police in Montgomery County, officers were called to the 11800 block of Grand Park Avenue, near the Pike & Rose shopping center in North Bethesda just after midnight for a report of gunshots. Once on scene, witnesses told the officers there was some kind of dispute between a group of people when shots were fired. No people were shot, but a dog was struck in the leg.

Montgomery County firefighters took the dog to the vet, where it is recovering.
