WASHINGTON — Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department are searching for a suspect connected to a homicide in Southeast, D.C.
On Sept. 25, police reported to the 2300 block of Green Street after receiving a report of a shooting, according to officials. When they arrived they found a 16-year-old boy named Jamal Jones suffering from gunshot wounds. Jamal was ultimately pronounced dead later at the scene.
Officials say surveillance footage captures a person of interest and police in D.C. are offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who can provide information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District.
