DC Police release surveillance footage in hopes of catching shooter

The victim was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries that later turned critical.

WASHINGTON — Police have released surveillance video of a man accused of shooting and injuring another man in Northeast D.C. back in August in hopes of catching him.

On Aug. 23, at 8:46 p.m., officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot. He was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries that later turned critical. His current condition is unknown at this time.

The unidentified man was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the video below:

Anyone who can identify this suspect or who has knowledge of this shooting should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
