Have you seen this man? He's accused of shooting, killing another man in Northwest, DC

The man was captured by nearby surveillance cameras after the shooting.

WASHINGTON — Police are asking for the public's help finding the man responsible for a deadly Northwest, D.C. shooting.

On Wednesday, May 29, just after midnight, officers responded to a shooting on Hanover Place in Northwest. Once there, officers found a man who had been shot lying in the road. He died at the scene. He has since been identified as 34-year-old Maurice Downing of Northwest, D.C.

The alleged shooter was captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos below. 

Anyone who has knowledge of this shooting should take no action but call police at 202-727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's text tip line at 50411.  The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
