FAIRLAND, Md. — At least three people were hospitalized after a two-car crash in Montgomery County early Monday morning. One person involved had injuries thought to be life-threatening, according to authorities.
Pete Piringer, a spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, said the crash happened just after midnight near the intersection of Old Columbia Pike and Musgrove Road in Fairland, Maryland.
Emergency crews responded to a call of a crash with entrapment, Once on scene, they found two cars had been involved in the collision. All people were safely removed from the cars and taken to nearby hospital for treatment. Two people had injuries not thought to be life-threatening. A third was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Details about the patients' current conditions, or additional information about the severity of their injuries, has not been made public as of Monday morning.
Police are still investigating what led up to the crash. The investigation remains active and ongoing. More details were not immediately available.
