3-car crash closes parts of Sheriff Road, causes multiple power outages

At this time it is unknown how long it will take to remove the pole from the middle of the street and restore power to the people in the area.

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a three-car crash in Northeast D.C. Tuesday night.

The crash reportedly happened along the 4300 block of Sheriff Road between 43rd Place and 44th Street Northeast. The crash shut down traffic in both directions. 

Police were telling drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Photos from the scene show that the crash knocked over a utility pole, cutting power to several homes and businesses in the area. 

At this time it is unknown how long it will take to remove the pole from the middle of the street and restore power to the people in the area.
