Wizards players help spread holiday cheer across the DMV

Wizards players visited hospitals and an elementary school Tuesday

WASHINGTON — The Washington Wizards scored big where it counts: In the heart. The Wizards put on a full-court press to spread some holiday cheer.

Members made a surprise visit to patients at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital and Medstar Washington Hospital in Northwest D.C. on Tuesday. The visits included trips to the Pediatric Rehab Inpatient Unit, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Cardiology Unit. The Wizards players handed out gifts and spent time with patients.

Then, the Wizards made a trip to Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Southeast D.C. There, school turned into a big pizza party.  They spent time with students and staff, topped off with some dancing. Of course, they handed out more gifts.
