Police investigate a heinous act in the Radnor-Ft. Myer Heights neighborhood

According to initial reports a man broke into the victim’s house, entered her bedroom, and threatened her before sexually assaulting her.

ARLINGTON, Va. — The Arlington Police Department is investigating a heinous crime that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning. 

Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Clarendon Boulevard a little after 12:15 a.m. for reports of a rape.

According to initial reports a man broke into the victim’s house, entered her bedroom, and threatened her before sexually assaulting her. Afterwards, the suspect fled the scene on foot, leaving the victim completely traumatized.

At this time the identity of the rapist has not been released by authorities. It is also unknown how he gained access to the home. 

Now Arlington Police are asking the community for help with this investigation. Every bit of information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could be crucial in solving this case and bringing the perpetrator to justice.
