Police: Overnight shootings in Woodbridge believed to be connected

The two shooting locations are six minutes away by car.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police are investigating several overnight shootings in Woodbridge that occurred within a two-day span as related to one another.

On April 24, at 3 a.m., officers responded to a home in the 15000 block of Alaska Road in Woodbridge to investigate a shots fired call. An investigation revealed the homeowner heard gunshots before finding damage inside the home. 

The following day, on April 25, at 1:40 a.m., an additional shots fired call was reported involving a dark-colored sedan which was seen driving out of the area. Shell casings were found in the roadway. In addition, damage to windows and walls were reported in both shootings. No injuries or other property damage was reported. Police believe these shootings are possibly related to one another. 

Also on April 24, at 2 a.m., officers responded to a home in the 1300 block of Cobb Court in Woodbridge to investigate a shots fired call. An investigation reveals the occupants of the home heard loud noises before locating damage to two cars and the exterior of the home. 

The next day, on April 25 at 1:39 a.m., an additional shots fired call was reported resulting in damage to the front of the home. A dark-colored sedan was observed driving in the area at the time of the shooting. Shell casings were recovered from the roadway. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. 

Police say these shootings are possibly related to one another, including similar shootings on nearby Alaska Road in Woodbridge. The two locations are six minutes apart by car.
