HERNDON, Va. — A man missing for a week has been found dead in Herndon, Virginia, according to police.
Fairfax County Police Department officers were called to the 2400 block of Masons Ferry Drive for a death investigation around just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Someone had found a body behind an apartment building in the area.
Investigators later identified the person found as 39-year-old Jamison Jones, who was last seen on Jan. 11 in the 13000 block of Coppermine Rd in McNair. Police listed him as endangered due to "mental and/or physical health concerns."
Police did not say how Jones had died, but said no foul play is suspected in this case.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family," the police department said on social media Wednesday.
Detectives continue to investigate to learn exactly what happened.
