Missing woman and child last seen December 29 found, police say

WASHINGTON — Update:

Police have announced Sherman and her child have been found. 

"Thank you for your assistance," MPD said in the announcement. 

Original Story:

Police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing woman and her 3-month-old child.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, 36-year-old Kristin Sherman and her 3-month-old child were last seen on December 29. The pair have been listed as critically missing. 

Kristin and her child were last seen in the 5000 block of D Street in Southeast D.C. 

Kristin is described as a 5-foot-4 woman, weighing between 140 and 150 pounds. She has long red hair and brown eyes and has a scar on her upper lip. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and brown boots. 

Kristin was last spotted pushing the infant in a black Greico brand stroller along D Street. It is unknown what the child may be wearing. 

Anyone with information may contact the Youth and Family Services Division at (202) 576-6768 or the Command Information Center at (202) 727-9099. Tips can also be submitted through the department's tip line at 50411.
