ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Police are investigating a shooting at a McDonald’s in Alexandria.
A large police presence could be seen in the 5300 block of Duke Street. Police were called to the McDonald's just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday for reports of a fight.
According to the Alexandria Police Department, two people got into a physical altercation at the restaurant and then things escalated and one of the men was shot.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries for treatment.
At this time, it is unknown what initiated the fight between the two men or if the shooter was apprehended.
