WASHINGTON — Police are asking for the public's help finding a man wanted in connection to a deadly shooting last November.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch, the shooting happened around 3:45 p.m. on November 4. Officers were called to the 1400 block of L Street, Southeast for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found a man who had been shot. Despite DC Fire and EMS being called to help the man, he died from his wounds.
The man killed has since been identified as 22-year-old Charles Towles, of Southeast, D.C.
More than a month later, police are identifying who they believed to be the person who pulled the trigger as 20-year-old Tremon Jackson, of Southeast, D.C., who was arrested on Thursday.
Jackson has been charged with second-degree murder while armed and he is currently wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant.
