Man arrested for indecent exposure along the Pohick Stream Valley Trail, officers search for more victims

A witness told officers they saw a man exposing himself while running along the Pohick Stream Valley Trail.

BURKE, Va. — A man, accused of exposing himself, has been arrested for Indecent Exposure while running along a trail in Burke.

On Saturday, officers arrived at the intersection of Coffer Woods Court and Blincoe Court in response to a sexual offense. A witness told officers they saw a man exposing himself while running along the Pohick Stream Valley Trail

The witness recorded the incident and the man was later identified as 53-year-old Sean Maxwell.

Officers at the scene located Maxwell as he was exiting the trail. He was arrested and taken into custody.

While Maxwell was being transported to a nearby detention center, officers remained at the scene to speak with other community members. Law enforcement believes Maxwell may have exposed himself on multiple occasions along the same trail.
