ARLINGTON, Va. — Police are investigating after three people were stabbed in Arlington Friday night.
According to the Arlington County Police Department, officers were called to the 5100 block of Columbia Pike shortly after 6 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found one person suffering a laceration and immediately began helping him. Other responding officers began canvassing the area and later found two more victims in the 1000 block of S. Frederick Street and the 5000 block of 8th Road S.
The three victims have been identified as a juvenile boy and two adult men. They were taken to area hospitals for help. All of their injuries are considered non-life-threatening, Arlington County Police Department said in a press release.
A preliminary investigation indicates a physical altercation between five people, who are known to each other, occurred in a stairwell inside a residential building nearby. A knife has been recovered.
Police are still investigating and have said nothing regarding any possible suspect description or motives.
