WASHINGTON — A suspect is in custody for stabbing two people in Northwest, D.C. on Sunday.
At 3:43 p.m., officers with the Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 1300 block of Corcoran Street in Northwest for a stabbing. At the scene, officers found two people who had been stabbed. A woman was found not conscious or breathing when taken to an area hospital for treatment. A man was found conscious and breathing when taken to an area hospital for help.
Police say the woman has died from the stabbing and a homicide investigation is now underway. The current condition of the man stabbed is not known.
The identity of the person taken into custody has not been made public.
Homicide detectives have been called to the scene to investigate.
The investigation into this stabbing is active and ongoing.
