Suspect arrested for car crash turned murder in Bladensburg

Richardson is now facing first and second-degree murder charges, along with other charges. He is currently in custody where he will remain until trial.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has identified and charged a suspect in connection with a double homicide that occurred in Bladensburg back in December 2022. Dwayne Richardson, 35, was charged with the murders of 29-year-old Abdul Bah and 29-year-old Moshood Akinrinsola.

On December 7, 2022, officers responded to calls of a car crash a little after 3:30 a.m. on Annapolis Road. When they arrived they found Bah and Akinrinsola inside an SUV both suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Using various investigative techniques, PGPD was able to identify Richardson as the suspect. During the investigation, police uncovered that the three men knew each other. This investigation is still active as police work to uncover the motive behind these deaths.

Richardson is now facing first and second-degree murder charges, along with other charges. He is currently in custody where he will remain until trial.
