2 DC men shot dead in Maryland recording studio identified

Laurel Police identified the men as 21-year-old Quincy Green Jr. and 23-year-old Louis Rackett.

LAUREL, Md. — Police in Laurel continue to investigate a shooting that left two men from D.C. dead early Tuesday morning. 

The men were identified Wednesday as 21-year-old Quincy Green Jr. and 23-year-old Louis Rackett.

Preliminarily, police believe the shots were fired inside a recording studio in the 600 block of Lafayette Avenue in Laurel after an argument between two groups of people. Officers were called to the scene around 1:30 a.m. Once there, they found Green Jr. and Rackett shot. Investigators said one man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other died at the hospital. 

A third person was also shot and drove themselves to the hospital for treatment. Police have no released any additional information about the third person or their current condition.

Police interviewed several witnesses on the scene, but so far no arrests have been made.
