Police name suspect wanted for shooting, killing woman in Prince George's Co. parking lot

Police have obtained an arrest warrant charging 22-year-old Raheem Hawkins-Boseman with first-degree murder.

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. — Detectives in Prince George's County have named a suspect wanted in connection to the shooting death of 27-year-old Jessica Somerville on St. Patrick's Day in District Heights

Investigators have obtained an arrest warrant charging 22-year-old Raheem Hawkins-Boseman with first-degree murder.

Officers were called to the 5800 block of Silver Hill Road in the unincorporated section of District Heights at 2:15 a.m. Sunday. When first responders arrived, they located Somerville, who had been shot. She died in the parking lot where she was found.

A day later, police released surveillance camera footage they say shows Hawkins-Boseman and another man who they believe are connected to Somerville's death. In the video, the two men appear to be laughing together. It is unclear if the video was taken before or after Somerville's death.

Detectives are still working to determine a motive in this case. They have not yet identified the other wanted man.

Anyone who may know where Hawkins-Boseman is, or has any additional information about this case, should call the Prince George's County Homicide Unit at 301-516-2512.
