WASHINGTON — Three teenagers are facing charges after police say they robbed multiple people at gunpoint in a span of less than an hour.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the three 16-year-olds robbed at least three people between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Thursday in Northwest and Northeast D.C.
In each of the robberies, police say the teens walked up to the victim, took out guns and demanded the victim's property before running away.
The robberies were reported to police at the following locations:
- At approximately 9:01 p.m., in the 7600 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest.
- At approximately 9:40 p.m., 6800 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest.
- At approximately 9:43 p.m., at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Riggs Road, Northeast.
The three teens were arrested on Friday and charged with three counts of armed robbery.
