WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Prince William County Police are searching for the man who robbed and carjacked two teens.
On Wednesday police arrived at Gunsmith Terrace and Old Landing Way near Freedom High School in Woodbridge to investigate the robbery.
When they arrived, the victims told police they were conducting a shoe sale when a stranger suddenly approached them. The man implied that he had a gun and demanded both teens’ property.
As if it wasn’t enough to rob the teens during one of the coldest days the DMV has experienced this year, the robber stole one of their cars too. Police recovered the stolen car soon after it was stolen because the robber crashed it into the back of a school bus.
According to police reports, while driving the stolen car the man rear-ended a Prince William County Public Schools bus that was stopped at the intersection of Rippon Landing Way and Blackburn Road, two minutes from where the robbery occurred.
The man had already fled the scene by the time law enforcement arrived at the crash. Only the bus driver was inside the bus during the time of the collision. Thankfully, no one was injured.
Prince William County Police conducted a K-9 search of the collision area but weren’t able to locate the suspect. Police believe the suspect is a man, about 20 years old, approximately 5-foot-11, and right-handed.
If you have any information regarding the robbery or the whereabouts of the suspect please call the Prince William County Police.
