Man shot, killed in Northeast DC

This marks the 260th homicide in the District.

WASHINGTON — A man was shot and killed in Northeast D.C. on Friday morning. 

DC Police were called to the 600 block of Hamlin Street Northeast in D.C. around 8:15 a.m., according to a police public information officer. 

The man was not conscious and not breathing when he was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The victim was later identified as 37-year-old Marcus Vines of Northeast, D.C.

This marks the 260th homicide in the District.
