WASHINGTON — Nine people have no place to call home Wednesday night after their homes caught fire in Northeast, D.C.
At 4:22 p.m. on May 1, DC Fire and EMS posted a video on X showing the fire engulfing a home and spreading to the one next to it.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames in both homes located near the intersection of Otis Street and 24th Street in Northeast, D.C.
No injuries were reported. A third home was damaged.
Six adults and three children were displaced. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced families.
There is no word on the cause of the fire at this time.
