WASHINGTON — Three people are without a place to live after a fire in Northwest D.C. Wednesday night.
DC Fire crews were called to the 700 block of Marietta Place Northwest around 10:30 p.m. for a reported fire. Once on scene, firefighters found a two-story middle rowhouse ablaze, with flames coming from the second floor, and people inside.
Crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control. All people inside the home were able to get out safely and no injuries were reported. The people displaced are being helped by the Red Cross, the fire department said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Firefighters did not estimate how much damage the fire caused. No other homes were damaged by the flames, according to fire crews.
