WASHINGTON — Police have arrested a second person in connection to a deadly Southeast, D.C. shooting that occurred back in March of last year.
On Tuesday, officers took a 17-year-old boy into custody in Jacksonville, Florida. He was wanted for first-degree murder while armed and will be extradited back to the District to be charged.
On March 17, 2023, just before 8 p.m., officers responded to the intersection Bruce Place and Ainger Place in Southeast D.C. for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found two men who had been shot including 23-year-old Dana Faulkner and an unidentified man who was taken to an area hospital and is OK.
Shortly after, officers responded to the intersection of Wheeler Road and Mississippi Avenue in Southeast for an unconscious person. Once there, officers found 15-year-old Abdul Fuller. He was taken to an area hospital after it was discovered he had been shot. He died two days later from his injuries in connection to the Bruce Place shooting.
On December 21, 2023, officers arrested a 19-year-old man in connection to the shooting. He was charged with first-degree murder while armed.
Months later, police arrested another person in connection to the deadly shooting. Due to his age, his identity will not be revealed. Police have only said he is 17 years old.
