1 man dead, 2 others injured in SE DC shooting, police say

So far, no arrest have been made in this case.

WASHINGTON — One man is dead and two people are in the hospital after a shooting in Southeast D.C. 

Early Wednesday morning, just after midnight, officers responded to a reported shooting inside a home on D Street in Southeast, D.C. When officers arrived, they found three people who had been shot including two men and a woman. 

Two of the victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment after the shooting, where one man was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. Another person was treated on scene by DC Fire and EMS and released.

Police have identified the deceased as 48-year-old Detrick Ealy. 

So far, no arrests have been made in this case. Police are still working to find a suspect and learn what led up to the shooting.
