Shooting in Southeast DC leaves 1 man dead

It was the second fatal shooting on Friday.

WASHINGTON — One man is dead after a shooting Friday night in D.C., police say. 

At 9:27 p.m., D.C. police received reports of a shooting in the 1400 block of Ridge Place in Southeast. Responding officers found one victim, an adult male, suffering from gunshot wounds in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Adam Dove of Southeast, D.C.

There are no known suspects at this time. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s text tip line by sending a text message to 50411.

This was the second deadly shooting in D.C. on Friday. 

A man was shot and killed in Northeast Friday afternoon in the 1200 block of Mount Olivet Road. The suspect in that shooting was arrested.
