2 arrested in connection to armed carjacking that turned into police chase

On Friday, officers received calls for an armed carjacking that occurred just before 8:15 p.m. on Toledo Road in Hyattsville.

HYATTSVILLE, Md. — A carjacking turned pursuit in Prince George’s County ended with two people in custody. 

On Friday, officers received calls for an armed carjacking that occurred just before 8:15 p.m. on Toledo Road in Hyattsville. 

A short time later, Prince George’s County Police located the stolen vehicle with two occupants inside, at the intersection of Chillum Road and Berkshire Drive. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, this initiated a pursuit. 

The pursuit ended at the intersection of 23rd Street and East-West Highway. The two occupants were taken into custody. 

No other details have been released at this time. This is an active investigation, we will update you when more details become available.
