Man who stole ambulance after crash arrested at Manassas hotel

Rickey Lowe was an occupant in a Toyota Corolla that was reported stolen from Prince William County on Valentine’s Day.

MANASSAS, Va. — Detectives from the Fugitive Tracking and Apprehension Unit have arrested a man wanted for stealing an ambulance. 

Rickey Lowe was an occupant in a Toyota Corolla that was reported stolen from Prince William County on Valentine’s Day. The driver of the car, Xxeavius Romoance Marlow, totaled the car after seeing officers in the area of Route 50 and I-66.

Rescue crews had to cut the roof off of the stolen vehicle to safely remove the passengers from inside. All five passengers were transported to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. After receiving treatment, Marlow was taken to Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with Grand Larceny. He is currently being held without bond. 

On Monday, Lowe, one of the occupants of the stolen vehicle, stole an ambulance from the hospital where he was receiving treatment. He abandoned the vehicle in the 4200 block of Annandale Road. Officers did a search of the area and could not find him. 

Detectives were able to track Lowe down near a hotel in Manassas on Friday. He was arrested without incident, transported to ADC, and charged with Grand Larceny. Lowe is being held on a $2,000 bond. 

Officials have not released any information regarding the current condition of the remaining three occupants of the stolen Corolla who were receiving treatment at the hospital.
