New surveillance video of the Tiny Jewel Box robbery

No arrests have been reported by MPD for this or a prior robbery.

WASHINGTON — Police have released brand new surveillance video of a local jewelry store being robbed.

The Tiny Jewel Box along Connecticut Ave was robbed for the second time on May 18 just before 2:15 p.m.

Police say at 2:10 p.m. two suspects broke the window and display case at the Tiny Jewel Box. The two took off with an undisclosed amount of jewelry and hopped inside a blue sedan.

Officials have not released what the robbers took or how much the jewels were worth.

This is the second time the local jewelry store has been robbed. The store was previously targeted in February.

No arrests have been reported by MPD for this or the prior robbery, and it is unknown if the two are connected.

Police are asking anyone with information to reach out to them at 202-727-9099.
