Police find woman stabbed while breaking up a fight in Northeast

When officers arrived to break up the crowd, they found a woman who had been stabbed.

WASHINGTON — D.C. Police are investigating a stabbing in Northeast. 

On Tuesday, police were called to the 1500 block of Anacostia Avenue, N.E. near the Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens, for reports of a large fight. When officers arrived to break up the crowd, they found a woman who had been stabbed. 

Police haven’t released any information regarding the victim’s identity, only that she was taken to a local hospital conscious and breathing. 

This is an ongoing investigation. As of now, we do not have any suspect information. If you have any information you’re asked to call police at 202-727-9099.
