On Tuesday, police obtained arrest warrants for Richard Osmin Ascencio and Jakeline Sanchez in connection to the death of their child.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Detectives with the Prince William County Police department say they have concluded their investigation into the death of a 1-year-old baby, and found evidence of abuse.

On Tuesday, police obtained arrest warrants for Richard Osmin Ascencio and Jakeline Sanchez in connection to the death of their child.

On Jan. 22, 2023, police arrived to a home along Granby Road in Woodbridge, Virginia where they found a child unresponsive. The baby was taken to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Police did not release information regarding why they were dispatched to the home or the identity of the baby, including name or gender.

An autopsy performed on the baby revealed signs of abuse.

Ascencio is 31-years-old, approximately 5-foot-5, 130-pounds, black hair, glasses, brown eyes.

Sanchez is described as 28-years-old, 5-foot-1, 110-pounds, blonde hair, brown eyes.

Both are wanted for felony child abuse. If you have any information regarding their locations, or what happened to the baby, you're asked to call police.
